Their efforts are recognised through a 50 and 100-hour Certificate and 200 hour Award of Excellence signed by the First Minister of the Welsh Assembly Government.

Volunteer Centre: A volunteer centre is place that advertises all the volunteering opportunities within the local area. As a young person you can visit them to talk about what you might like to do and they can help you to find the right thing for you. So far more than 700 business, education and voluntary sector partners have committed to embedding social action into the lives of young people.

Beneficiaries: are the people within the community who will benefit from volunteering. Some may be participants who take part in activities run by volunteers.
